Tonami, a rustic village setting where country houses are surrounded by forested areas. This community also hosts the annual Tulip Fair, in which more than a million flowers come into rich bloom, and other sights enjoying nationwide fame. Venturing out from the hotel leads to many stimulating encounters. Gokayama, for example, has earned World Heritage site status for the steep thatched roofs of the traditional houses. The “Kazenobon” festival in the Yao district is a major attraction in the fall, while the woodcraft art of the Inami area can be traced back more than 200 years.
